Recruiting Activity Should Not Create an Intelligence Signal

Our team runs every search through the MKIS Intelligence Platform, an in-house, self-hosted system where AI-assisted sourcing plus a multi-layered human review process does not expose a client’s sensitive information. Recruiting itself can be a signal, and MKIS protects it.

Where Technical Precision Meets Talent

We provide specialized recruiting across the nation’s most critical engineering and national-security markets, placing experts who truly understand complex technology.

Aerospace, Defense & Cleared Talent (ADIC)

We specialize in Aerospace, Defense & Cleared Talent (ADIC), placing mission-ready professionals with active clearances (SECRET / TS / TS-SCI). Technical focus includes RF / Microwave and Embedded / FPGA / ASIC.

Veteran Led Precision: The MKIS Foundation

MKIS Precision Search is led by Mark J. Kelly, a U.S. Navy enlisted veteran turned technology executive with more than twenty-five years of practitioner-level experience embedded within the global silicon lifecycle, spanning IC design, tape-out, manufacturing, and test. His academic background is deliberately multi-disciplinary: a BSEE from the University of Akron, earned through the GI Bill; an MBA from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management; and a Business Analytics credential from Wharton.

MKIS has recruited technical leaders for organizations including Samsung, GlobalFoundries, Seoul Semiconductor, KyoceraSLD, Telink, LEDVANCE, and Case Western Reserve University, among others.

“Representative engagements. Organizations listed reflect past search assignments, not current client status.”

CAD Operator vs. Design Partner

Positioning Layout Expertise for Maximum Value From the candidate’s side of the table. There’s a specific frustration common among senior PCB layout engineers working on genuinely difficult boards: doing hardware-architecture-level work while being treated, organizationally and culturally, as drafting support that executes someone else’s design decisions. What the Work Actually Involves at the High End…

Mapping Your Next Strategic Move From the candidate’s side of the table. Field Applications Engineers occupy an unusual position in the semiconductor world: deep enough technically to solve a customer’s real design problem, commercial enough to understand why that problem matters to the customer’s business. That combination is rarer than it looks, and it’s also…

De-Risking the Jump

Moving From Prime Contractors to Aerospace Startups From the candidate’s side of the table. Moving from an established aerospace prime contractor to a venture-backed space or autonomous systems startup is one of the highest-variance career moves available to a systems or avionics engineer right now, and also one of the most frequently under-evaluated. The technical…

Program Lifecycles and Your Career

When to Stay, When to Move to the Next Program From the candidate’s side of the table. Aerospace systems engineering careers move on two overlapping clocks: your own career trajectory, and the formal review-milestone lifecycle of whatever program you’re attached to. Understanding the second clock, and timing your moves around it deliberately, is one of…
