Our Approach

Recruiting Activity Should Not Create an Intelligence Signal

No cloud. No exposure. No shortcuts. Every engagement runs in-house, on self-hosted
infrastructure, with multi-layered human review, so a client’s sensitive information never leaves our hands.

The Problem

Recruiting activity in semiconductor, aerospace, and defense talent markets functions as intelligence, independent of any breach. A job search itself, who is being sourced, for what role, at what company, can reveal a program’s existence or a company’s strategic direction long before anything is publicly announced. Most of the recruiting industry answers this risk with a personal promise of discretion: a real commitment, but one that describes a recruiter’s intent, not the architecture of the systems handling that information.

MKIS was built around a different standard: structural sovereignty, not just a personal promise.

Two Paths. One Discipline

Recruiting activity should not create an intelligence signal, and no search moves forward without a multi- level human review at every stage. Every engagement, standard or sensitive, involves human interaction; what changes between the two paths is how much review and
gating that engagement requires.

Standard roles move through a direct sourcing path: job description, search agents, and a person reviewing candidate results
before any outreach happens.

Sensitive engagements route through a second, more rigorous path: JD structured extraction, mandatory human review, with authorized sourcing and enrichment at every step. The raw job description itself never reaches that final step without a person reviewing it first.

For secure searches specifically, MKIS runs entirely on in-house, self-hosted server hardware, not third-party cloud infrastructure, providing a high degree of digital anonymity. Nothing about a sensitive search is visible to, or recoverable by, an outside vendor.

MKIS operates in a one-to-one recruiting model. We do not post job descriptions to open job boards or mass-blast requisitions to attract inbound applicants. Every search is a direct, targeted engagement built around a known set of candidates, not a public fishing expedition.

We Chose to Own This, Not Rent It

Most recruiting technology today is rented, not owned. A firm signs up for a SaaS platform, routes candidate data through someone else’s servers, and calls it innovation. That model works fine for most industries. It does not work for ours.

MKIS made a different choice. Rather than build our sourcing and intelligence tools on top of third-party cloud AI providers, we invested directly in our own on-premises infrastructure, built to run entirely under our control. Every model, every search agent, and every piece of candidate data our systems touch stays inside a system we own and operate ourselves.

That decision was not the cheaper one, and it was not the faster one to market. It was the correct one for the industry we serve. When a search touches a role tied to a defense program, a controlled technology, or a candidate’s clearance history, the question of where that information physically lives is not an abstraction. It is the entire point.

We built this the way our founder was trained to think about problems in the Navy, and later, across twenty-five years around the global silicon lifecycle: understand the failure modes before you trust the system. Before any part of our platform was used on a live search, we tested it adversarially — tried to break it, documented what failed, and fixed it. That same discipline extends to the hardware itself. Owning our own infrastructure means we can state exactly where a search lives, who can reach it, and what leaves our network, not because a vendor’s privacy policy says so, but because we built the walls ourselves.

This is not a SaaS product we are selling. It is the operating discipline behind every search we run on your behalf.

A Disciplined Architecture for High-Stakes Search

Beyond keyword matching—our three-stage technical vetting process is engineered to reduce execution risk in the silicon and national security sectors.

1

Technical Roadmap Intake

We begin by analyzing your specific engineering roadmap and program-level milestones rather than just a standard job description. By understanding the silicon lifecycle requirements, we identify the exact technical friction points where a new hire must act as a stabilizer for the existing team.

2

Systems-Level Vetting

Every candidate undergoes a rigorous technical screening focused on systems-level literacy and engineering mindset. We vet for a specific technical trajectory, ensuring that every individual we present can speak the language of the engineering lab and navigate the complexities of a high-stakes development lifecycle.

3

Risk-Reduced Placement

Our ultimate goal is to provide a “Stabilizer Hire”—a leader or engineer with the technical maturity to reduce project risk and drive consistent execution. We provide your team with detailed field observations on each candidate’s ability to thrive and lead within high-stakes, long-cycle technical environments.

Never Rely on the Machine 100%

This is the standing rule behind every search MKIS runs.

Mandatory Human Review

Every agent output is reviewed by a person before it is used externally. No exceptions for speed.

Sanctions Screening

OFAC screening is built into the sourcing pipeline itself, not applied as an afterthought.

Authorized Enrichment Only

Multi-channel sourcing runs on search, not automatic paid data enrichment without explicit human authorization.

Verification Discipline

Components are tested against real usage patterns, not assumed correct because they were written once.
